Permit the install
Security and Restrictions is where Android TV keeps that switch. A phone handles it differently: the browser asks for permission the first time you download something. Either way you do it once.
Put a player on the device
On a TV box the route is Downloader, driven by the code on our Apps page; on a phone you can simply fetch the APK and open it directly. Any player that speaks Xtream serves just as well, because the credentials are what you bought.
Enter the account
Type in the server, the username and the password. At this catalogue size, Xtream against M3U is not a subtle difference on hardware like this.
Keep an eye on the decoder
Hardware without H.265 support hands the job to the processor: frames go missing, motion turns soft, and it worsens as the box warms up. That reads as a network fault and is nothing of the kind.
Worth knowing
- Take Xtream rather than M3U wherever the player supports both; the catalogue then arrives in pieces instead of all at once.
- Try a 4K channel in the first week to confirm H.265 is being decoded by the hardware and not the processor.
- If the box has a network socket, use it.
